We Support Standardization - With Our ICW Global Standards Office
Global standards enable the widespread use of information technologies in health care, allow processes to be automated and make the use of uniform work flows practicable, thus improving the standard of medical care. That is why we are engaged in a large number of national and international bodies, such as the Integrating Healthcare Enterprise initiative (EHI), the Continua Alliance or HL7 user groups, and why we, together with Agfa HealthCare and Sun Microsystems, established the Open eHealth Foundation in the Spring of 2008:
The ICW Global Standards Office (GSO) coordinates ICW's engagement in these and other organizations to promote interoperability of ICW's wide spectrum of products and services of both ICW or third party products. GSO actively supports the work of product managers and developers to ensure that the latest results of standardization initiatives flow directly into improving the ICW portfolio. Another of GSO's labors is build and manage the knowledge base and the knowledge transfer paths.
